What Is Supported Independent Living?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is NDIS-funded support that enables people with disabilities and psychosocial needs to live as independently as possible.

SIL is often referred to as shared accommodation, where participants receive assistance with daily living activities. This could mean full-time support in a personal residence or shared support in a home with 2–7 participants, each with their own private bedroom.
